Suitability
CPH Online Counselling service is only available for (i) Singaporeans and/or residents of Singapore, and (ii) who are at least 18 years of age, with marital or divorce or parenting related issues. We will not be able to provide or proceed with online counselling if you do not meet these criteria. If you are under 18 years of age, you will be referred to a more suitable online counselling service.
If you are based overseas, and you have identified as a Singaporean residing overseas, we may ask for verification of your nationality. We will do this by asking you to show us your Singapore identification card or passport over the web video cam. No details of your personal identity will be recorded. We will only sight those documents for verification purposes. If you are not a Singaporean, and you are residing outside of Singapore, we will not be able to proceed online counselling service with you. We would recommend you to seek online counselling from a counselling service at your local jurisdiction.
If you are in an emergency or crisis
Please note that CPH Online Counselling is not a crisis hotline. If you are feeling suicidal and you would like immediate assistance, please call the police on 999, or contact Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) 24-hour hotline at 1-767 or their 24-hour SOS CareText via Whatsapp at 9151 1767. If you feel that you may be in immediate risk of harming yourself, call 995 or approach the A&E department of your nearest hospital.
If you or any person is in any danger, or you require immediate assistance to any emergency and dangerous situation, please notify the police on 999.
While CPH Online Counselling is not a crisis hotline, we have a duty of care for all clients who access this service. Hence we will ask for your contact numbers so that we can call you in the event when you are at risk of hurting yourself or others. We may also ask for your next of kin’s phone number as well in case of any emergency. Please share your phone number or your next of kin’s number when asked.
Respect for our professionals and our services
CPH Online Counselling service aims to provide you with the assistance and support you need in dealing with your marital or divorce or parenting related matters. We value our professionalism and seek for your respect for us as professionals. In the event when there are inappropriate treatment towards us, we reserve the right to terminate the counselling session at any time.
As we respect your privacy and confidentiality, we ask that you do that same. Photo taking or video recording of any communication between yourself and CPH Online Counsellor is not permissible.
Offering of Legal Advice
While we are professionals trained in working with divorce and marital difficulties, we are not legal practitioners and will not be able to provide you with any legal advice. We will also not be able to make any recommendation of law firms or legal practitioners. You should seek formal legal advice, if such is required. We will try our best to help you in your situation, but we will not be liable for any mishaps, decisions that you make, losses you have incurred, including psychological or emotional damage, any physical damages to your property, yourself or others. CPH Online Counselling expressly disclaims, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all liability in any form whatsoever with respect to acts or omissions made by you arising from the use of the CPH Online Counselling service.
